Identity verification

Biddo verifies sellers so buyers can trust who they are bidding with. You submit your legal name, address, ID number, an ID photo, and address proof. Our team matches the form data to your documents before you can sell.

What you submit

• First name and last name (as on your NIC / passport).
• Full residential address (city / district and town).
• ID type and ID / passport number.
• Clear photo of your NIC, passport, or driving licence.
• Address proof (utility bill, bank statement, or similar).

How badges work

• Verified — a checkmark next to the seller name on browse cards and listing pages.
• Verification is required to sell. You can browse and bid while your documents are under review.
• After you submit details and both documents, an admin matches them and approves or rejects. If rejected, you can re-submit from Account → Verification.

Privacy

Documents are used only for identity review by Biddo staff. They are not publicly accessible and are never shown to other buyers or sellers.
